Today was a long day so this is a short post. Today Project 365 Photo was taken with the iPhone 4. I said many times the iPhone 4 is the best cell phone camera and it only has 5mp. Trust me you can take some great shots with this camera.

Thanks to my good friend Doug I got a birthday gift in the mail today. Excited as open up the package as he told me "don't buy any photo gear" so I knew it was something special to my surprise, it was cable release for my Canon 7D. I needed this so much, as it kind hard at this stage of my career to take a good photo of myself without getting up and down, checking the lcd and putting toys, sticks or other stuff to take a nice photo of me that's IN FOCUS lol. so this was the first photo I took and will add it to my Project 365.... Enjoy

I was coming home from Wal-mart and getting my pre-birthday meal as I was pulling up to my home I saw something HUGE on my window. I was like WTH is this on my window???? So didn't think about it anymore until i went to my office and saw this MUTANT BUTTERFLY looking back at me lol. Then I was like hey this will be my photo for today. soooooooo ENJOY.

Apple Battery Charger Unboxing

Apple a couple weeks ago released their own Battery charger along side some other products. When I first saw this product I knew it fit in with my workflow. My old rechargeable batteries are on their last charges. Apple has a way of taking a product an making it better.

You can see Apple does a great job of what they can stuff inside the box. You get a charger,six double A batteries,an instructions Simple and cool.

The only downside is that you can only charge two batteries at a time.....
With that being said this is a great product for photographers or if you have a lot of other Apple products.

Hello..... I want to say I had ablest in Vegas. To all the people I got to connect with thanks a lot for allowing me to get to know you. Well today's photo has a funny story. I was riding around , so I decided to stop by one of my favorite places Starbucks. I was enjoying a cup of BOLD coffee, and I got the itch...no not that itch I didn't go looking for that in Vegas lol. The itch to MAKE a photo. So as I was making photos inside Starbucks, I was told by one if the employes that I can't take photos inside of Starbucks. I must say they were very nice about about it. So hears the photo I made on day 10/365 enjoy......

Vegas Skips Sumer School Day 3

Today is day 8 of the 365 photo project. One of my goals (that I don't like to set sometimes lol) was to shoot the iconic Las Vegas sign. I got more than I asked for.... Let me tell you a story.....

Today started off great as I woke up and declared that something good will happen to me. I had the faith and say to God "today will be my day". I got up this got the sleep out of my eye ,checked my iPhone, and I didn't even want to get out of bed. Yes I LOVE my sleep lol, but I told myself before I got here I will not miss this chance to learn to better myself as photographer. So I got up and got some food and goto the sessions about 45mins early. Today speaker was the Famous "Kevin Kobata"

Lone story short he stared off his pre show by giving out prizes.it was one prose that I wanted and it was an tamrac photo bag. So I ran up on stage to dance and I was bad a great female photographer (sorry I can't spell your name lol) Rushed the stage and stated to dance better...... Well LOOK I was going to lose this, so I took out my secret weapon....what was it.... I just took...My..Leg...OFF! Oh yea you mow it I won that lol. Kevin himself said "dude no one can top that lol" so that was the first great thing that happen to me.

Next I was blessed AGAIN to have my photo taken by the famous photographer Clay Blackmore. This guy know how to pose a person. This guy I learned so much from him in just buy setting in front of the camera.

Hey guys and girls,i'm back again with another photo of the 365 project. You know I have to get better on timing these blogs(as it 11:49 in Las Vegas) lol.
Today was a Great day as was able to meet so many great people. I grew even more as a photographer and this comes to the above photo( that is unedited. Sometime you have to take photos that catch your eye and this celling in the convention center part of the MGM Grand. I just love how it repeats over and over. Now to the photo this photo was MADE early in the day, SO I BET THE HEAT!!!! This shoot help me out so much because I learned a lot with working with kids. The shoot lasted about 3 hrs total, that spanned two locations.

Post processing wasn't much I just add a Nik color effect pro. I hope you enjoy the photo as much as I loved taking it.

Day 4...... One of my Ex-Navy friends who is also in photography told me he LOVES this photo, also he told me that he would buy this. I was like WOW I never would have thought of selling prints. Today I embark on my year journey of the 365 Project. This project is to help anyone with the love of photography tell a year story though photos. You may be wondering why I chose the above photo as my first? Let me tell you why...... People have asked me over and over what's the BEST Camera/equipment to use if I want to be a Pro? In return I tell them to " use your eyes" because it doesn't matter what you use to take a photo if you can't SEE the photo FIRST then you can MAKE the photo.

Now with that being said once you do get the eyes part down you can next move to the equipment part of photography. First let's start off with the lens that I've been using for the last Year. The Canon 24-70mm L lens. I tell you This is one heck of a lens, it my bread and butter, my yen and yang, my Bonnie and ......well you get it lol. Then it's my iPad 3G ( as I'm typing this blog on) the iPad for a photographer is a must have and will change how you work. I. n set up meetings, show my work, show the client their photos right after a shoot ( with the help of the iPad camera kit) and much more.

Last but not least the above shot was taken with a Canon 7D with a 50mm ii lens. I hope you stick with me over this year, I will try to give you the best photos I can take.

It been a long month wait for this camera kit people let me tell you. I finally have my iPad Camera Kit and it was worth the wait. The shot above was taken on my Canon 7D and imported with the iPad Camera Kit (via compact flash reader). The import was super fast and clean, like a mobile version of iPhoto. I can tell you now that this will make my workflow go so much quicker on shoots to let people see their photos ASAP. I will give you an update later in the week so look out for that, also a unboxing video will be posted later.

I was one of the lucky few to get my hands on the New Xbox 360 Slim. The first time you open it you notice a change and I must say a very nice change at that. This Xbox is very sexy to say the lease. I notice how much detail went into this new machine. The controller is has been redone over with black rubber stick and a chrome like Xbox button. I will have an unboxing video up soon. A picture is NOT worth 1,000 words. As a photographer, I experience more than just words every day. Any given image is an encapsulation of emotion, reality, and creativity. Photography is a subjective field; unlike mathematics and literature, there is not a ‘correct’ formula or conjugation. Photography is re-invented and re-discovered as a new expression each moment.

My passion for photography began at an early age. Progressing from my childhood years to my time serving overseas in the Navy, I have always believed my most powerful form of self-expression is through photography. I founded Wright Way Photography in 2008, and since then, I have travelled across the country seeking to learn this art. I want the people with whom I work to share in the awe striking experience.
My experiences with professional entertainers, wedding photography, individual and group sessions and my membership with organizations like the Professional Photographers of America has increased my passion and also shown me I have much to learn.

There is no question I would like the opportunity to attend Skip’s Summer School. Professionally speaking, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to train under, network with, and work alongside some of the greatest names in the field. In addition to this, however, much of my reason for wanting to attend this program is to be in the company of people who value the art of creativity and respect the skill of photography as I do. I enjoy being in a room full of people who share similar passions and love for the art. I have come to understand my career is more than producing pictures for clients; I capture memories, I create stories, I explain, detail, and represent reality. I know Skip’s Summer School will increase and refine my ability to do this to the best of my ability.

Some people choose to communicate through music as famous singers, through athletics as famous soccer or basketball players, or as famous healers as nurses or physicians. I communicate through images. However, just like singers, athletes, and physicians, I realize I must always take advantage of each opportunity I have to make my craft better. I cannot reduce photography to simply words or photos. I believe it is a creative language meant to be learned and communicated. I want the opportunity to attend Skip’s Summer School so I can continue to learn how to touch the world and speak with the art of photography. Ansel Adams said it well: “When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”

What Can Nintendo Do?

So if you haven't heard The worlds Largest Leader in the handheld video game market FINALLY!!!!(as The Rock would say) has some competition. Who is this big,bad, handheld who Nintendo sees as the "enemy of the future"

That's right folks it's the iPhone. This simple and popular device is what Nintendo is going to focus all their attention ,resources, and whatever they can to make sure the King stays on the throne. Let's face facts Apple is NOT a game company,but What Apple does is take sometime and make it ten times better. Look at the iPod,it totally changed how we listen and buy music. I can't think of the last time that I put burned a CD. Then Apple want to re ent the cell phone and BOY did they ever who would haves seen iPhone combined with the App Store offering Video Games at great price that could rival The Nintendo DS? Is this year 20XX????

So what can Nintendo Do?
One thing I have notice about Nintendo, is that they depend to much on their 1st party titles. How many Mario titles do you have to have??? I don't understand Nintendo at times, it's like they have to be pushed for them to Advance their Games(boy) and systems. Why hasn't Nintendo gone online fully? Who has the time to put in a friends code? HDMI Nintendo? And your customer service is BAD! so BAD that you can't Transfer the games you bought if YOU buy a new system?(something Playstation does well). Now don't get me wrong I love Nintendo.I can remember the good old NES days. I'm so happy that they are Finally leading in the video game market the Wii changed how we play video games and can respect that Nintendo good job ,but it doesn't stop their. It good you guys look at Apple as a threat and you should(see Palm) just don't try and do what Apple does because it not your business and your not good at it. Do what brought you to the dance. Nintendo is Video Games and that's sometime you can't take away from them. Just like Nintendo woke everyone up with the Wii it's time do do something again. One more thing Nintendo the iPad is knocking on the Wii front door.

It would be nice if they could play nice then we could get something like this :)

WaterField Design's Smart Case Review

It been a full week with since I received the Smart Case from the great people at WaterField Designs. I would like to tell you guys about this case. First let me say,it just feels GREAT!!! I love how the inside of the Smart Case contains a miro-fiber type of lining that cleans your iPhone 3G, 3GS, or the new iPhone (HD ,4 or whatever it's called). The look of the case is very classy, elegant and comes in six colors with three different styles from which to choose.

The neat part about the Smart Case is that the front is designed with a storage spot for ear phones, business cards or anything you can fit.

The belt hook that is included can be used in many ways.

The only thing negative I find is that when my iPhone is in the case my ringer gets muffled a little which is good or bad depending on where you are. Other than that, I love this case a lot. I was honored last night to meet The 66th Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice. Dr Rice was was invited by the Oklahoma State University(OSU) for a special meet and greet . The experience was awesome while Dr. Rice took time to meet with 2010 Veterans Entrepreneurship Program (as I'm apart of) she was very humble ,grateful women and thanked us Veterans for our service to our country and presented each Vet with a special Military coin. The night ended with a special dinner where Dr. Rice was presented with award and did a Q&A from the audience. This was a special night for Wright Way Photography as I was allowed special access of the event. I would like to Thank Dr. Rice and The VEP program for a great evening.

I must say if you want to grow as a person you need to experience different cultures and way we interact with each other. I had this chance last night to see my first Country/Western Band at Toby Keith's Bar and Grill. This was a great experience for me, also you know I got some great shots of the band "Turn Pike Troubadours'

Hello world let me re-induce myself.... I always wanted to say that lol. I guess it was only a matter of time before I joined the blogging community. This blog is for me to intact with all of you who follow me on Twitter (@wrightwayphoto), Facebook and wherever. I will do my best to post pics for you to love or hate. I would love your thoughts because it will help me become a better photographer. I will also post my love for Tech (mostly Apple ) so....... I don't know how the evolution of this blog will go ,but I do know it will be fun and hopefully inspiring. So don't trip its all love and the world could use more of it.
